Ik ben Marleen, Aardevrouw, wolwerker, kruidenverzamelaar. En de vrouw achter Wâldwyfke.

Al heel mijn leven voel ik me verbonden met de wereld om me heen. De natuur is altijd een plek geweest die me trok, die me raakte, die mij bleef verwonderen. En dat doet zij nog steeds.

Wat ik doe is simpel: ik vertel wat ik weet, ik laat zien wat ik maak, en ik hoop dat mensen daardoor zelf ook nieuwsgierig worden. Naar de natuur. Naar de grond onder hun voeten. Naar de schapen in het veld, de kruiden langs het pad, de klei tussen hun vingers.

Ik ben iemand die dingen heeft geleerd door te dóén. Door te voelen. Door jarenlang bezig te zijn met wol en kruiden en de seizoenen. En die kennis geef ik door.

De natuur is de bron. Ik ben alleen de boodschapper.

Dat begint met kleine dingen. Een verhaal over bijvoet. Een workshop vilten. Een opmerking over de stand van de maan. Kleine stukjes informatie die mensen aan het denken zetten, die een zaadje planten. Want we hebben die nieuwsgierigheid nodig. We moeten terug naar de basis. Naar het besef dat we deel uitmaken van een groter geheel.

Dus kom gerust langs in het atelier. Dan drinken we thee praten we over wol of kruiden, en voel je vanzelf waar het over gaat.

De natuur is er al. Ik help je alleen om haar weer te zien.

Let me introduce myself: I am Marleen

Earth woman, wool worker, herb gatherer. And the woman behind Wâldwyfke.

I pass on knowledge about nature, combined with the ancient craft of wool. All my life I have felt connected to the world around me. Nature has always been something that drew me, that touched me, that kept me wondering.

What I do is simple: I share what I know, I show what I make, and I hope that people become curious themselves. Curious about nature. About the ground beneath their feet. About the sheep in the field, the herbs along the path, the clay between their fingers.

I am someone who has learned by doing. By feeling. By working with wool and herbs and the seasons for many years. And I pass that knowledge on – simply, honestly, with both hands in the clay.

Nature is the source. I am just the messenger.

It starts with small things. A story about mugwort. A felting workshop. A remark about the phase of the moon. Small pieces of information that make people think, that plant a seed. Because we need that curiosity. We need to go back to the basics. To the awareness that we are part of a bigger whole.

So feel free to visit the studio. We'll have coffee, talk about wool or herbs, and you'll naturally feel what it's all about.

Nature is already there. I just help you see it again.
